Q: How do I get a username and password?
A: To obtain a username and password contact your supervisor. If your department is not yet using LEADRS, please contact the LEADRS program staff for more information.
Q: How much will LEADRS cost me and my agency?
A: The system is provided FREE of charge to all Texas peace officers and made possible by a grant from the Texas Department of Transportation. In connection with the LEADRS program, TMPA offers a free 4-hour LEADRS training course with TCLEOSE accreditation. To schedule a free training please contact the LEADRS program staff.
Q: I am an officer and have forgotten my password. How can I reset it?
A: Your supervisor in the LEADRS system has the ability to reset your password.
Q: I am a supervisor and have forgotten my password. How can I reset it?
A: Another supervisor in your agency can reset your password.
Q: How do I make changes to a case that I have sent to my LEADRS supervisor for review?
A: To make changes to a case that has been sent to a supervisor for review, your supervisor must send the case back to you.
Q: I am a LEADRS supervisor, how do I return a case so an officer can make changes?
A: Login to LEADRS and click “Supervise” in the left hand menu.
A screen with the cases under your supervision will come up. Select the case that is to be returned by clicking “Review”.
Then simply click the “Return Case” button and the case will be sent back to the officer for editing.
Q: I have locked a case and need to make changes. How do I unlock a case?
A: Once a case has been locked it cannot be unlocked because it is now available to the District Attorney’s office. Only case supplements can be added once a case has been locked. LEADRS recommends locking a case only when you are sure it is ready to be sent to the District Attorney.
Q: How do I add a supplement to my case?
A: To add a supplement to a locked case, login and click “Supplements”.
Click “Add New Supplement” and a case supplement window will automatically open.
Enter the appropriate information and click “Submit”.
Your case supplement is now saved and will appear under the supplements list.
Q: Is LEADRS operable in web browsers other than Internet Explorer?
A: LEADRS recommends using the most current version of Internet Explorer.
Q: I have recently upgraded to Internet Explorer 7, now when I try to print my case report, the window does not appear.
A: When using Internet Explorer 7, make sure that you have your browser set to allow pop ups from the LEADRS website. To allow pop-ups from the LEADRS website go to Tools>Pop-up blocker>Pop-up blocker settings. Add https://texas.leadrs.org to your allowed sites.
